I saw a studded satchel bag in a magazine that I decided I must have, but didn't have the funds for. Instead I found this blue leather clutch at the local Goodwill back home for $3 and modified it myself with an old gold studded cuff and vintage chain that I already had laying around. The result was pretty close to the one I saw in the magazine, so I'm pretty satisfied.
If the shoe fits, can you resist buying it?
I used to have a major shoe addiction a few years ago. When I moved into my dorm my freshmen year in college I brought over 20 pairs of shoes with me. All organized in separate boxes in stacks lining my tiny dorm room closet. Try explaining to your Dad who is helping you move your stuff in that a few of the move-in boxes are filled purely with shoes. I managed to rehabilitate myself over time and kicked the addiction. Now however, I feel the symptoms of shoe obsession coming back and my bank account is very scared. Fortunately I can't buy anything until the 30 for 30 challenge is over. Thank god something is preventing me from relapsing. I feel myself in emotional downturns, wanting to make a mad dash to the mall to buy a pair of sky-high black peep-toes. I must RESIST! I'm settling for long sessions of online window shoe shopping. Check out these beauties...

Thankfully these are overseas and not within reach. Now if only my mouse could just stop hovering over the 'Add to cart' button for hours...
Who else is fighting a shoe addiction out there?
Anybody want to start a support group with me?

Very cute shoes! I would love a pair. I've seen shoes like this all over for the past few weeks and I am glad the challenge is stopping me from buying them as well!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue-wall background in the first shot. And these shoes... whoa, amazing. I could totally see me rocking them to a New Year's Eve party.(Better not get any ideas.) - Katy
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I have a shoe addiction too! I buy all of these heels that I never wear because, well as you know, I don't wear them to class.
ReplyDeleteThey just sit in my closet and look sad.
I'll join your group! haha
I am fighting a major shoe addiction! and online shopping addiction...i could totally use a support group. lol
ReplyDeletelove the outfit today!!
Great DIY with the handbag, I would love to do something like to too, but I haven't had time to scour for a bag. As for shoes, I'm still recovering and I'm making a strong effort to avoid new shoes, but it seems like more I get rid of, the more I find a need to buy new shoes. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteMY GOD THOSE SHOES ARE TOO RAD.

Ah, those top shop shoes are to die for! I probably shouldn't tell you this, but you know Steve Madden makes an extremely similar pair right?? I've often pictured myself in them, but I've yet to make the leap!
ReplyDeleteI love your accessories. The bag and the purse are too cute!

I just bought some little, black, ruffled heeled booties last night. I literally COULD NOT RESIST once I had them on.

Yes! In the past year I've lost track of how many shoes I've bought! What did you do to stop yourself from buying shoes? I am scared for my credit cards haha.
ReplyDeletePS-Your drawings are amazing
-Christine
These are fantastic! A better shape than the Steve Madden pair and a better price tag than the Kate Spade. Still, a little too pricey for a 24 year old drowning in student loans, ey? I hope someone nice adopts them!
